How to Put Hyperlink in an Image to Create a Clickable Picture!

"Hyperlink in Image" – WHAT does that mean? You just want to create a clickable picture so that your visitors will click on it and arrive at your Sales Page. You know that they would be more likely to click on a picture than on text – after all one picture is worth a thousand words! You were expecting it would not be too technical, because you're definitely not a computer geek. But hyperlink DOES sound a bit technical …

Never fear – it's not nearly as "techie" as it sounds! A hyperlink is basically a link from one location on the web to another – so that when you click on the picture you are directed to another web page.

The first thing you need to do is upload the image to the web using an ftp client like Filezilla. If you had, for example, saved the picture as fido.jpg the URL would be [http: //www.yourdomainname/fido.jpg]

You can then create a clickable image in one of two ways:

1. Simply add the image to your web page or blog using a Web Editor like Kompozer. You then tell the Web Editor where visitors are to be sent to when they click on the picture – by clicking on the Link icon and inserting [http: //www.yourdomainname/fido.jpg]

2. Create some HTML code and insert it into your web page. Now, do not panic! This is NOT difficult.

You just need to amend the following code with your own unique details:

Replace the 'xxxxxxxx' with the URL of the webpage (including the http: //) of WHERE you want to send your visitor when they click on the image.

replace the 'yyyyyyyy' with the URL (including the http: //) of where the IMAGE is on the web.

Now you know how to create a clickable picture – it's easy when you know how, is not it?
